Mobile Web Reloaded

The iPhone celebrates its third birthday! And because of the iPhone-launch the boom of Mobile Web really took off. While WAP did not succeed at all, Apple created for the first time ever a cell-phone which can be used as a full-fledged Internet-terminal. Mobile experts assume that in a few years Mobile Apps & co. already will overhaul the classic web as it is known today.

Once again Asia demonstrates the “mobile” exception: 2010 Japan looks back to more than 10 years of Mobile Web usage. 2009 for example 90 percent of all South Koreans had a 3G access, four-fifths of all Japanese are using the mobile way to the Internet, 10 percent of them exclusively. Global seen Japan has a market share of 33 percent in the 3G segmet – by only a three percent share in the whole Mobile Market.
